Its been a long time since I update my blog and my last entry for my blog is somewhere around December last year and now only I update my blog. Many things happen during the past 6 month of 2011, I already been working for 2 years in my previous company and on june 2011 I decided it is time to move on to a new working environment. My last working experience as a CAD modeller is a bitter sweet experience but now I am currently employed as a process improver (engineer) in a automotive glass manufacturer plant. My company is named Pilkington and is formerly known as Malaysian Sheet Glass (MSG) at Sg. Buloh. My job role is to monitor and improve the automotive glass manufacturing process and my process is glass furnace. Everyday I will be playing with fire and after working in this company I only know that glass is really a fragile piece of material, furnace too hot to the glass is too soft to shape, too cold and the glass is under fire and easily break. Although the work load is a bit heavier compare with my previous company but I indeed learn a lot of thing from this company.

Sprain ligament

This is the first time that I am posting my injured ligament. This happen during my time playing basketball with my colleague and that time I twisted my ligament. I went to a chinese medicine practitioner for him to massage and also wrap chinese herb medicine around my leg everyday and to my amazament they also can issue MC for me so that I can proved that I was really injured and I am now cheating any MC. Up until last week my leg is already recover 90% but right after I peel off the last dosage of chinese medicine wrapping around my leg I ignore the advice of the doctor for not walking that frequently before I am 100% recover.

The consequences of ignoring the advice is start from yesterday my sprained ligament become painful again and this time I need to go throught the whole process again plus also the pain that I need to endure before the recovery of my leg.

Hidden treasure of Pagoh

This post is post dated post and I been to this place month before and only I blog it here because still the same reason, my laziness. Back to the topic about this post, many sure wonder why this place Pagoh seems so familiar and let me explain here. Actually Pagoh is a small and a quiet town just like any other small town in Malaysia. Still remember that during SPM time that we need to read a malay novel and for those selangor and KL school we need to read konserto terakhir and also Bukit Kepong. Bukit Kepong is situated just after pagoh and in our history Bukit Kepong mark the fiercest battle between the Communist and our arm forces but in the end the communist win that battle and burned down the whole police station of Bukit Kepong and in the Bukit Kepong novel there are a few line stating Pagoh this small town.

OK, enough of history crap and let us move on, i been to Pagoh for outstation work and the people there bring me to one restaurant that are very famous around there and also very unique. This restaurant is called Nasuha Herbs and Spice farm. Their concept is to provide you with the food that are cook with their hrebs and spices that grow themselves and even the drinks there are mostly herbs drink. Nasuha Herbs and Spice farm does not only provide foods and beverages it also house a resort, SPA and also their famous organic herbs and spices plantation. Nasuha Herbs and Spice farm even have their own farm to provide poultry for their restaurant.

Upon entering the restaurant you are required to take off your shoe for a good reason, you need to take your shoe off because the restaurant floor is covered in various pebbles and also rocks that are strategicly place to massage your food just like the reflexology path that you often seen in park nowadays. Their restaurant deco concept is nature itself and so the table are in tree shape and not the usual square shape table. The restaurant provide a decent and typical malay food with some western dishes such as chicken chop. the taste of the food there is decent and the price there is fair enough. It is a nice experience to know that there is such a unique place in Malaysia.

Sate Celup

This is a very silly post because I drive all the way to Melaka just to ate sate celup there then came back KL in the night. Why I said this is the silly because the story is like this,few weeks ago I need to go Pagoh out station on friday so I apply leave on thursday and head down to Melaka to spend a night there then only continue my journey to Pagoh the next day. The plan sounds fantastic and so on thursday morning I bring my car for routine service a.k.a change engine oil then come back to pack up my stuff then I drove my car leisurely from KL to Melaka.

Why I choose Melaka to spend a night there because I have a relative there and so I can spend a night a her house before continue my journey to Pagoh. When I arrive there we had lunch a Station 1 then in the night we have our sate celup dinner at one of the restaurant that claimed they are the first people that created sate celup. The restaurant is called Restoran Kingtu and it serve the usual menu that come with sate celup such as fishball, pork ball etc. This restaurant is even visited by 阿贤 and feature on his programme that aired in Astro. For me the peanut sate sauce is perfect although the amount of peanut inside the Kingtu sauce is less than the famous Capitol. The sauce is smooth and a little bit of spicy and when you had your first bite after dipping your food into the sauce you can feel the aroma of peanut flowing around your mouth and after the taste of peanut then come the spicy flavour. It just taste so good. According to my relative this shop will be full during dinner time but the day I go we become their first customer and as the time gets longer the more customers start to pour into this restaurant. When I am eating my heart suddenly my phone rang and the appointment is cancel so that mean I no need head for Pagoh on friday. After I hear this news I am stunned and what to do I quickly finish my dinner then head back for KL and in the future I do not want to let this history repeat itself again.

Pork rib (排骨）

Here is another good food I had eaten few weeks ago and this time is pork rib or in cantonese Pai Kuat. This restaurant is located somewhere in Klang and because I am not too familiar with Klang so I cannot say exactly where this restaurant is situated but you can click on the link at the end of this blog for the map.

This restaurant is famous for its pork rib, their pork rib is tender and juicy, when you put those tender juicy pork rib into your mouth you can taste the ribs tenderness and also a little a bit of sweet honey taste. The rib got the sweet taste of honey because I guess the rib is marinated with honey before they go for frying. The price for the ribs is from RM 4.00 till RM 15.00.

The other delicious food also from the same restaurant is their hakka pork ball. This food is actually pork ball instead of boiled in soup as the normal pork ball that have in pork ball noodle （猪肉丸面） they fry it but they fry until the skin of the pork ball is crisp but leaving the inside tender and juicy. The pork ball for is the best, I love the pork ball so much that I forget that this food is only the side dishes of the restaurant. This pork ball is RM1.00 per ball.

Since I am not familiar with Klang and you sure will wonder how on earth that I manage to find this restaurant?? This needs to give a credit to my girl friend as she is the one that bring me to this restaurant.

I am not a big fan of dim sum to be honest not because of dim sum is not delicious but for the face is the portion of dim sum. As you all know dim sum is a delicacy that are small in portion and pretty. Why I say this because dim sum is made to please your eyes and also your tongue. Dim sum is delicious and yet because me like to eat everything in big portion means dim sum is not my choice. Besides the portion the price is also an issue for me because dim sum is not cheap and they charge on how much you eat and since the portion of dim sum is quite small, to the big eaters like me it sure will burn a hole in your wallet.

But not all dim sum is small in portion and in a town called Lawan Kuda nearby my hometown Gopeng there also have dim sum but the dim sum there is on steroid. There only serve few selections of dim sum and unlike other dim sum restaurant that serve variety of dim sum. I also do not know why the dim sum in Lawan Kuda is so big size as you can see on the picture above. The first picture is char siu pao and the second picture is Har kao and both also in steroid. I love to eat dim sum when i balik kampung because it is delicious, cheap and also I just eat a few round then I am full.

I am wondering can anyone tell me that does those dim sum on steroid exist in KL??

Gopeng Museum

Be warn first because this post got a lot of picture. This post is all about Gopeng, a small town situated between Kampar and Ipoh. Just for your information Gopeng is the first exit after you pass the bridges of Gua Tempurung if you are traveling along the PLUS highway. This small town is famous for its food such as 奶粉 (not milk powder) but a kind of noodle only available here. In the past this place is famous for its tin (bijih timah) mining operation or in other word because of tin mining operation the town of Gopeng only exist. The famous land mark of Gopeng is the long pipe that stretch of do not know how many KM that in the past served to carried water to the tin mine for tin mining. Sadly the pipe is no longer exist because the government scrape it due to the pipe is not longer in use since there is no more mining activity there. Besides mining the houses there is built before world war 2 era and often become a place for movie and drama to film there because most of the houses still remain the same old design.

Why I talk a lot of crap about Gopeng in this post?? I know Gopeng because there is my hometown. I born in Ipoh and raised in Gopeng for a short while before my whole family moved and settle down in KL and often my whole family will go back to Gopeng to visit my relative that are still living there. That place is a peaceful small town where practically everyone know each other staying there.

During this year CNY I visited the newly open Gopeng Museum and in that museum show case all the history about Gopeng and in the picture above I only showed some of their exhibit items. Please stop by this quiet little town for some delicious noodle when you are traveling north and also please visit the museum and give some donation to them because the museum is maintained by all the people there without much funding from the government.

Melaka trip

Long long time ago during the long weekend on the labour day I and my family go to visit my relative that stayed in Melaka. That time is my first time driving to Melaka and to my amaze and also to add to my bad experience, Melaka is a place that cannot go on public holiday because the traffic jam start at Seremban and all the way to Melaka toll. That time is my first ever worst traffic jam and I cursed all the way from Seremban until arrive at Melaka and that time also I broke my personal record for longest journey of cursing. The jam along the way to melaka is almost the same as the jam during cny. When arrive there I just go eat eat eat until I drop but eat also need to que up and that made me curse even more and so 1 piece of advice please do not go to melaka during public holiday or long weekend if you do not want to end up cursing all the way till Melaka.

This is a very old post because I went to that place in the above picture a week ago but now i only blog about it so anyway lets me introduce where is the place I go place. The place I go is actually just beside shah alam stadium and it is a market for malay. That place there open for business on every sunday and inside there you can find practically anything. That place is the combination of wet market and flee market and you can get your everyday needs from the wet market and also some exotic treasure in some of the stall. That place is mostly visited by malay and also most of the stalls there are also owned by malay, for any people out there who like bundle things that place is for you to go.

Besides all those thing that I mention above that market is also full of delicious food stalls that you can eat till you drop. On that day I went to the stall just as shown on the picture below for a nice delicious and also cheap chicken rice.

The food I eat is the nasi lemak with fried chicken and it is a very delicious food. the rice is warm and best of all they stored all the riced inside a wooden bucket and I do not know why rice that stored inside the wooden bucket taste better than stored inside normal plastic container. I will not elaborate some more and I just let the picture shown below do all the talking,yummy yummy!!!

Yo peeps for such a long time that i do not update my blog and this is due to my lazinees and also lack of idea on how to blog (mostly due to my laziness). Now is the time of World Cup 2010 that held at South Afrika, everyone is enjoying the game shouting and supporting their team. It is indeed very happy to watch at all those exciting matches but does anybody really think from which TV channel all those matches are broadcasting from?? The answer is Super Sport channel on ASTRO, what does that mean??

It mean that if you are a poor man that does not have the money to install ASTRO in their house you cannot watch live telecast and also enjoy the atmosphere of world cup. Although free public TV station does indeed have some live broadcast but not all the matches have live telecast and only selected few matches that all those free public TV station have broadcasting rights.

Due to the high cost of world cup live telecast free public TV station need sponsors to sponsored so that live telecast is possible and this bring us back to the gold old days of cigarette company and alcoholic drinks company sponsoring. During the good old days we can watch EPL live matches on free public TV station and whatever live sports matches. Ever after since our government banned all these company from even appering in our TV and gone with all those live telecast that is sponsor from them and now we can only rely on ASTRO and this is also if you afford to have an ASTRO installed.

I am not a supporter or excessive smoking or drinking but it make me wonder how do banning alcoholic and cigarette advertisment on TV will deter people from smoking and drinking,people will find way to do this and the best example is drugs. Everyone know drugs is a no no but some people just can bring in illegal drugs and also there people willing to do drugs eventhough this is illegal and even dangerous. My opinion is if government want to banned those companies advertisment on TV it is fine but world cup is only held once in every 4 years and why government just give temperory permission to those cig and alcoholic drink company to sponsor some live telecast so that all people can enjoy the happiness of world cup.

Yesterday I went to play footsal floor of One Utama. This is the first time that I play footsal at One Utama roof top and to be honest the view on the roof top of One Utama is breath taking. From the One Utama roof top you can have the entire view of Bandar Utama and TTDI. I do not know how is the view during day time but during night time the view from above is fascinating. The condition of the footsal court at the roof top is superb because the pitch is soft yet supportive and it will not hurt yourself when you do dive tackle. The price is a bit high because for small court it cost RM 100 per hour. There are 2 small court and 1 big court and forgive me because I do not know the price for the big court.

Besides that I saw a TV3 female host playing footsal with her friends next to our court. I forgot the name of the host but I can be sure that she is one of the 3R host aired on TV3 and please forgive me for the low quality picture because all those picture I took using my mobile phone.

Micro wave oven + raw egg =?????

Just like my title say, what do you get when you put a raw egg into a micro wave oven? If you do not know the answer you can try it with your own micro wave oven. This event happen on today when someone in my house wanted to have a half broiled and how do one get the hard broiled egg? Just put a raw egg directly into the micro wave oven and heat it!! What a simple solution. As the result no need to say it as everybody know and this is the first time I ever heard a "boom" sound coming straight from the micro wave oven, what an experience!!

Random One Utama outing

Today is Deepavali holiday and I and my friends go out on an outing to One Utama shopping complex to have a walk. The original plan that we want to go Neway to sing K but all the room had been fully book and so we change our plan to go watch movie in GSC new wing. We watch Pandorium this movie and frankly I love this movie. The paradox of movie scene today is the big time movie often is rubbish while those movie that do not have any big star or famous director often produce a good movie. After watching movie we walk walk around 1U and Big Apple donuts shop close today due to the collapse of do not know what ventilation equipment from the ceiling inside their shop and resulting there are smoke around the shop.

After walking aound we go inside the toilet of 1U and in the toilet cubicle there are a lot of "interesting" graffiti to read and look at just like the picture above. Sometime I really do not know should I laugh after reading those graffiti or should feel ashamed of what those vandals do to the public facilities.

Swiss Roll

Today I will be share on a place to have good food to eat. The place I am going to introduce is already very famous and introduce by many television show and also newspaper and magazine. The place I mention is Yut Kee restaurant. I think many people out there already know this restaurant but there are also quite a number of people that are not familiar with this restaurant. Yut Kee restaurant is famous for its variety of western and chinese food and for me I like Yut Kee pork chop. Today I am not going to say much about their food but I am going to introduce their Swiss roll cake. The filling of the Swiss roll is kaya and it is very delicious and yummy to eat. Normally people will fill Swiss roll with cream for its filling but Yut Kee Swiss roll use kaya for its filling make this Swiss roll special and delicious.

By the look of the Swiss roll already is very tempting and with the first bite into your mouth you will addicted to it. I really do not know how to describe the tastiness of this Swill roll until you go and grab a bite. I love this roll ever since I had my first bite on it when I was a child back then and until now I still love this roll.

BEIJING (AFP) - – Five men have been jailed in Beijing for up to 16 months for fighting over a "lucky licence plate" containing the number eight, China's traditional number for good fortune, state media said Tuesday.

The men allegedly armed themselves with knives and clubs and beat anyone who came near a machine issuing new licence plate numbers at a Beijing vehicle registration centre, the Beijing News reported.

Several people were injured, one of them seriously.

The incident occurred in July last year as plates with "8888" as the last four digits were about to be issued, the report said.

The ringleader, identified only as Xu, had lined up four cars for new plates and paid his four accomplices a total of 10,000 yuan (1,400 dollars) to guard the machine and ensure he got the numbers he wanted, it said.

A Beijing court ordered the five to pay 55,000 yuan in compensation to their victims, the paper said.

The number eight in China is considered a lucky number as the word sounds like "wealth" or "prosperity."

Touch n Go

I am wondering why there are so many people that do not pay attention to the road and also which toll house booth should they go to when driving especially for the Touch n Go and also Smart TAG user. Some of the driver I do not know why they do not look for the correct toll booth when they approaching the toll. For example the first LDP toll if you are coming from Kepong direction, from far away every driver can see clearly where is the Touch n Go and Smart TAG lane but I also do not know why there are still many ignorant driver that do not pay attention or do not bother to see where is the Touch n Go and Smart TAG lane and in the end they end up in the wrong lane. This cause delay to other driver and also slowing the traffic down at the toll booth. From my observation mostly female driver (I am not discriminating) that end up in the wrong lane. Please do pay attention on which toll booth to go to when you are driving so that it would not cause any trouble to other driver!!

I already had finished my 1 month working life and boy boy oh boy working life is not like studying. When work you must done everything in the shortest time possible and without creating any trouble along the way. Life when studying is really really very relaxing because we only need to attend lecture and submit assignment before due date. In working life you can never expect what will come next, I just hope I can adapt to the ever more challenging working life in the future.

Finally today I have the passion and heart to blog again!! Right after I complete my studies I went for a career fair to look for job and I succeded. After two weeks the career fair held I receive a call from my current employer to go for an interview. Few days after the interview I offered a job by my current employer. They offer me the application engineer title and my job scope is doing CAD using Catia and other CAD software. Up until now I already had 1 month of working experience and still learning. Catia this software had a lot of thing to learn and to make matter worst I never use this software during my studies in UniMAP. Everyday is a learning day for me and I hope in the shortest possible time I can master catia this software. Anyone out there fimiliar using catia this software can contact me so that we can exchange experience of using catia this software. Additional information about Catia this software is Beijing national stadium (bird nest) that held the Olympic openning and closing ceremony is deisgn using Catia this software.

On the way to hike

Finally I am now able to update my blog as frequent as possible now because I am now officially finish all my studies. I cannot update my blog during my stay in my hostel because my stupid university block photobucket this web site and all my photo in my blog are uploaded through this web site. I do not use the blogspot uploader because it is slow and sometime unpredictable. I got another photo uploader site that my university did not block but that site I do not know why the site server is always down.

Big Pao

Cut the crap, before I come back to KL from perlis I and a bunch of my friends went on to a hiking trip to Gua Kelam, one of the famous cave situated in Perlis. Besides that we go there to try the famous big pao 大包 in perlis. The strange thing of the big pao is they do not use pork as the pao main ingredient but they use chicken meat as the big pao main ingredient. The chicken meat taste actually taste like pork, so strange. But the big pao is not all that delicious, just normal big pao and I also do not know why Perlis people strongly recommend us to come and try. Some more we need to make reserve the big pao before we come because no reservation no big pao to eat.

Putra Palace Hotel

Yesterday me and my friend went to the most high class hotel in Perlis, Putra Palace to have steambot buffet dinner. We looking forward to the steambot buffet for a very long time ago but during that time we do not have chance to dine in at the hotel. We are looking forward for this dinner on the good comment by my other friends had tried the buffet dinner before.

On that very day me and my friends purposely consume as little food as possible so that we can sapu the food kaw kaw during dinner time. As time came nearer we went to the hotel by car and then step in the hotel restaurant to have a taste on the buffet steambot.

After we told the waitress that we came for the steambot buffet the waitress did not ask what flavour we want for the soup and straightaway went into the kitchen and bring back a bowl cheap chicken essence soup. The soup is damm cheap and had no quality at all and is made from a few pieces of Knowl chicken essence cube. It taste bad and salty. We went on to hunt for the ingredient to put in our steambot. We are amaze on how little selection it got. The ingredient they provide were chicken breast meat (it taste weird), sea cucumber (very dirty because the do not clean the sea cucumber throughly), various kind of fish balls (the only ingredient that were edible), squid and calamari (the best ingredient available and were edible) and patin fish (also taste weird).

One ingredient that were very questionable is the prawn you see on the above picture. What on the earth is the blackish thing in the prawn head??? We ask the waitress for clarification and they say the blackish thing in the prawn head is natural and it came with the prawn and they also further their clarification by telling us the prawn is still fresh and just came in today. It is really a fear factor if one tried to consume the prawn and in the end no one among my friends dared to eat. The strange thing is when I start taking picture of these prawns with my mobile phone the waitress act strangely and the cook from the kitchen came out to look at these prawns, I very doubtful on the freshness of the ingredient there.

In the end we just consume various fish balls, squids and calamari. The most amazing thing is the most tasty food there is their fried rice, i will give perfect 10 for the fried rice there and other than that the food there sucks big time. It cost us RM 22 per head to consume all those thrash food, I want to say here this is my first time eating there and also my last time eating there. I will not come back for another time and I will not also recommend anyone to go for the food there except fear factor game show!!

Alor Setar 1 day tour

It had been ages since I update my blog, this is because my stupid uni block my photo uploading web site and do not know why if I use blogspot photo uploader it take ages to upload a photo no matter the size of the photo is big or small.

Actually this trip to Alor Setar is last month trip and I blog it until now partly due to my laziness, anyway I still blog it. The tower you see above picture is the Menara Alor Setar that situated in the centre of Alor Setar. This is the first time I and my friend rent car to tour around Alor Setar and this menara had been our point of reference since all of us do not know how to get around in Alor Setar. That menara is the first stop of our trip. Thank god Alor Setar is not big and we purposely went on to the top of the menara to find places and road leading to the places around Alor Setar. According to the brochure this menara is the 52nd tallest tower in the world. The main duty of this menara is telecommunication by using its height. Telekom manage this tower and the same goes to KL tower. Both also a telecommunication tower with the latter is taller and more high class.

After touring around in the Alor Setar city centre we went to Tesco, the newly build and the first Giant supermarket build in Alor Setar and to our amazement there were Big Apple Donuts shop inside Tesco!!!! That is my first time eating Big Apple donut. After eating it I also do not know why their Low Yat branch always got people queing up to grab those donuts. The donuts is normal but surely better than Dunkin Donut, but i also do not know what is the point for queing up just only to grab some donuts???

You guy will ask where the hell is Lenggong situated anyway, I do not blame you all because this indeed a remote place. In general this place is situated in perak and is a small town that sits in the middle of Kuala Kangsar and Gerik. Anyone will pass this small town if one is travelling to the east coast via the Gerik. There are 2 ways to reach east coast, one is travel through Gua Musang way pass kuantan and all the way up to east coase. The other way is Gerik way that pass through Gerik and enter the east coast from Jeli Kelantan.

This remote small town is actually a birth place of 西刀鱼丸 (a type of fish ball), I do not know what they call in english but this fish is destined to become raw material for fish ball. This fash have many small and big bone and it is hard to eat ordinary way and no one will want to try to eat a fish that need hour to remove all the bone. The meat is tender when making it into fish ball. Besides the meat for fish ball the belly of the fish is also a delicacy with smooth and tender taste. I am lucky because that place near my hometown and so every year I can have a taste on those delicious fish ball and fish belly.

Besides 西刀鱼丸, Lenggong is also famous for its home made super spicy shrimp belacan. It is made from fresh shrimp and this sauce is the perfect match for the fish ball and the fish belly.

Just not long ago I and my friend went to Jitra for movie. We watched Bangkok Dangerous that day and the movie is not bad. After the movie we planned to go to chill out before going back to Perlis and we thinked for a long time on where should we hang up. The thinking process take a bit longer due to Jitra is not a big town and do not think that Coffee Bean or Star Bucks exist in such place for another decade and so we decided to hang out at a famous coffee shop that sell premium white coffee from Ipoh.

Once we sat down in the restaurant the first problem we encounter is the waiters there seems like treat us like transparent and came to serve us after a long waiting time. The second problem is the menu, a lot of food they do not serve in the outlet. This is the first time I cannot order my favourite food and this outlet have many branches across Malaysia, the food is the same in all branches. I never encounter I cannot order food from the menu.

Why white coffee is not white at all??

We order some toast, white coffee and tea and guess what did the drink came out as, just like the picture above white coffee taste like Kopi O with no white coffee at all and the tea is just look like milk. The condensed milk taste is stronger than the taste of the tea and it is freaking sweet. The toast is another problem, the kaya and butter is not spread evenly over the toast and the only food that is presentable is the instant noodle that my friend order.

Let us move over to the table we sit, the tissue is badly inserted into the holder and the sugar is almost empty but no one try to refill in the sugar. This is the worst Oxd Txxn that I ever been to and this will be the only and the last time I will go there to hang out. By the way try to guess what people is working inside, the answer is not difficult and I think most of the problem come from the answer.

Malaysia's 'worst in the world' taxis tarnish national image

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 18, 2008 (AFP) - The ads promoting "Malaysia: Truly Asia" aim to welcome visitors with a warm smile to a prosperous and modern nation, so the taxi fleet branded "the worst in the world" can come as a bit of a shock.

Even the locals are not spared the shabby service of unkempt and hostile drivers behind the wheels of decrepit vehicles who refuse to use the meter, overcharge and pick-and-choose which destinations they will travel to.

At the popular KLCC mall under Kuala Lumpur's iconic Petronas Twin Towers is a typical scene, as a gang of cabbies negotiate with a young Norwegian couple just metres from a signboard warning against "taxi touts".

"Flat rate, flat rate, no metre," one driver insists as the tourists try to find a cab to take them to their hotel, less than two kilometres (1.2 miles) away.

Anxious to escape the baking heat, they agree to pay 25 ringgit (7.22 dollars) for a trip that would have cost less than three ringgit on the meter.

"Is it expensive? We don't know, we thought it is normal here," said the woman as they piled in with their shopping bags.

More frequent visitors, however, are vocal in their criticism and say that aggressive and unprofessional drivers are tarnishing the nation's image as a squeaky clean and hospitable destination.

"I first visited Malaysia in 2006 and I was impressed by everything I saw except for the worst taxi service I have endured," said Kabir Dali, an Indian tourist waiting in vain for a metered taxi at another mall.

"I paid a whopping 260 ringgit (74 dollars) from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport to town and was later told that was twice the proper amount."

Complaints about taxis are common in many countries, but in Malaysia it has escalated to an outpouring of frustration, on blog sites and in letters to newspapers.

In a survey by the local magazine The Expat, some 200 foreigners from 30 countries rated Malaysia the worst among 23 countries in terms of taxi quality, courtesy, availability and expertise.

The respondents lashed the fleet as "a source of national shame" and "a serious threat to tourists -- rude bullies and extortionists".

Salvation is in sight though, as a number of smaller, up-scale operators enter the market to provide a more expensive but quality taxi service for frustrated visitors and locals.

The uniformed drivers, behind the wheels of smart new multi-purpose vehicles and sedans, switch on the meter as a matter of course and do not refuse destinations -- surprising and delighting commuters in the capital.

Abdul Razak, operations manager for Dubai-based Citicab which launched here in January, said that even in poorer nations such as Thailand and Indonesia, taxis are smarter and the drivers far more courteous.

"I would say it is the worst in this region, undoubtedly. I have travelled to all countries in this region and our company operates taxis in many parts of the world. The situation here is the worst I have seen," he told AFP.

"The vehicles are in shabby condition, the driver will take you if he likes your face -- that is, if he agrees with where you want to go for the price he insists on."

The government has called on taxi firms to lift their standards, but various campaigns have achieved little, and many blame the lack of enforcement on rampant corruption in the police and bureaucracy.

"It is difficult for the roads and traffic department to take stern action," said a security officer at one city mall as he watched the touts swoop.

"Taxi operators and the company which hold the licences are all linked to some politician or another," he said. "Drivers here are ruthless because they are unchecked by authorities who are almost non-existent."

John Koldowski, from the Pacific Asia Travel Association, said that "less than desirable" taxi drivers have an outsize impact on a nation's image.

"The first contact a tourist gets with locals is often during airport transits to hotels and it creates a very, very strong first impression, either be good or bad," he said.

"Authorities certainly need to do their jobs and act upon any complaints strongly, quickly and visibly."

I would agree on this because I do not like the taxi service in our country. The first problem is they like to overcharge and don not like to use the meter to charge you. Besides that some of the taxi driver is not taxi driver at all, they drive like a mad man cutting the line here and there as they are the next Hamilton. Some of them actually is robber, once you board their taxi they will rob you. I really scared taking taxi at here and until now I still do not like the taxi here. I would rather take LRT, KTM commuter or walk instead using their service.

Strange thing in Perlis

There is a strange phenomena happening in Perlis during the fasting (ramadan) season. KFC there as you can see above in the picture will only open for business at 3.00 p.m. and the worst thing is the Muamalat bank in Perlis, the first bank that close for business for 1 and half hour during the fasting season. What I hate about this bank is this is the first time they ever close during fasting season. Usually that bank never close even on friday during their friday prayer. This will become a nuisance to the people because they cannot do their banking during the bank working hour and this is the only close today and other bank is work as usual. How do a bank serve people when it is close during its working hour? The timetable that stick to its window glass door do not mention any break during the week day.

As for KFC why they cannot operate as usual just like other KFC in KL, not all people fast during the fasting season and I know majority of population in Perlis is muslim but do KFC care about others that do not fast during the fasting season?

Its been a long time since I updated my blog, sorry for the reader out there who are reading my blog. The delay in updating my blog is due to my laziness, although I have tonne of thing that I would like to share with you but because due to my laziness to transform my thought into words. First thing first Jitra finally have its own cinema, this is a good news for us in Perlis that are already used to be outdated in term of movie. Now we can watch the latest movie without having had to travel all the way to Alor Setar. Jitra is just 45 minute away from Kangar when compare to Alor Setar that are at least 1 hour away from Kangar. The first movie I and my friends watch there is The Mummy 3 and the movie suck big time. The cinema is quite good, it is a cineplex some sort like GSC or TGV but it only got 4 cineplexes. 3 is normal cineplex that do not have surround sound system and only 1 have a proper surround system. Nothing is perfect but at least we still have a cinema that is nearer to us student study in Perlis.

Big bike show case

After finished watching the movie we went for a stroll around the small shopping complex where the cinema is housed in. The shooping complex opened for business not long ago and this is the biggest shopping complex and the most happening place in a small Jitra town. Before we leave for Alor Setar we manage to get a glimpse at the big bike show case at the mall main entrance and to my amazement most of the big bike seen on the show case is own by chinese people. This is very different in KL that most big biker are malay people.

After the small detour we continue our journey to Alor Setar. Actually we went on this trip to get our final year project component at Alor Setar and we maximize the fun by detouring to watch movie. After finish shopping for our final year project component we went to eat. My friend recommended that place because beside you can get 12 fish balls in a bowl of noodle soup, all the fish ball is actually hand made and it only cost RM 2.50 a bowl. Damm cheap and the fish ball taste damm good!!!

50 cent Lok lok !!!!!!!!

After finish eating the 12 fish balls noodle soup we went to a lok lok stall to have our desert. The lok lok stall is near to the fish ball noodle soup and you must be wonder why on earth do I introduce you all to lok lok, it can be found anywhere. I know lok lokj can be found anywhere but the lok lok stall I introduce is very special. Not the lok lok they provide is special, their specialty is FLAT RATE lok lok!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where on earth you can eat flat rate lok lok, all lok lok is different in prices depending on what is on the lok lok but here in Alor Setar they do not care about this and all their lok lok only 50 cent per stick. They have sotong, pork ball and other ingredients that are common to lok lok.

After finish the lok lok we end our journey by returning back to Perlis.

During that time because of my cousin sis recommended me for the shooting I get the chance to appear in the brochure of John Hancock Insurance and I believe already merge with Prudential insurance. This John Hancock insurance company is already non existence. During that time the shooting crew need a male child model to appear in the brochure and my cousin sis recommended me for the shooting. I still remember the photo shooting take place in a house near my relative house. I just need to post as needed by the photographer and just remain frozen at the requested post. After some flash and the shooting is done. I get paid for nearly RM 300-500 for just sit still and let the photographer photograph me. Many of my friends send message to ask me is that my newly born son. After many explanation still there are people asking the same question. Today another friend say that I look like a father in this picture and at that moment i do not know I should be happy or angry. I love to sniff on my newly born nephew and do not know why all of the just born babies had a scent that is lovely to smell and that scent will vanish as the baby grow up. Journey to Perhentian Island P2

Just after finishing our lunch we will begin our journey to my cousin sis resort. Before boarding the boat we need to pay a small amount of money for entering the island. Perhentian Island is a marine park and the money they collect will help to maintain the marine park and besides that we also need to register our name and the duration of our stay at the jetty entrance. This is to monitor the crowd entering the marine park so that the marine park will not be overcrowded and hence destroying the coral around the marine park. The picture above you see is the scenery on the way heading to my cousin sis resort. Perhentian Island is not an island, it is combination of different island but the biggest island is called Perhentian. My cousin sis resort is situated in the Perhentian besar.

Once we board the boat we need to do a boat transit at an island called Kampung. That kampung is a small town with basic amenities such as water supply, shop, school, electricity and clinic. We need to do a boat transit there because there is only just me and my cousin bro were going to the my cousin sis resort. We need wait at the kampung jetty for my cousin resort boat to come pick us up to go to her resort. Actually if there a large number of people are going to the same resort the resort will provide a boat to pick you all up at the Kuala Besut jetty and head directly to the resort. Once you arrived at Kampung you will be greeted by a board saying "Welcome to Perhentian Island" just like the picture above. Besides that the sea water there is so clear until you can see a group of anchovies (ikan bilis) swimming around the jetty.

Just a few week ago I and my coucin brother went on a trip to Perhentian Island to pick up my cousin sister. This is the 2nd time I had been to the east coast. The first time I went to east coast to attend a programme organized by my university. We can choose from 2 route to reach the Perhentian Island. The first route is the route that passed through Kuantan to arrive at Terengganu (Perhentian Island is situated in Terengganu state). The second route will pass you through gerik and then enter Terengganu through Kelantan. The travelling time for both route is almost the same but on my trip there used the gerik road to reach Terengganu. Along the Gerik road you will see a elephant crossing road sign, this is not the typical road sign that you can see.

The first 2 picture is the surrounding of the jetty. Right after we arrive at the jetty I and my cousin went for lunch and as you can see from the picture above. The shop is famous for its soup ekor. The soup is boiled by using cow parts and it is very tasty. The other famous food is the peach colour gravy you see on the picture above. I do not know what it is made from but the taste sure is special and tasty. After finishing lunch is time to continue our journey to the island.

The sentence above you see is one of the many service declaration you can see at every KTM station. I know what is the feeling of taking KTM commuter train and trust me their service is indeed improve by a little bit but is still far from become good. In the past you cannot trust the timetable of the commuter train and also you cannot trust the announcer that announce the arrival of the commuter train. The train will be late from 5 to 10 minute after the announcer had announce but now the train will arrive on time or late by 1 to3 minute and the train will arrive just after the announcer finish announcing the arrival of train.

The KTM service still has a lot of thing to improve such as the working of their air cond. I still do not know why most of the air cond on the commuter train is neither not working nor cannot provide adequate cooling for the passengers inside the train. Another problem need to be improve is that the KTM commuter train tends to delay, I also do not know why the commuter train tends to delay and the estimate arrival time of the delayed commuter train announce by the announcer is not accurate and some time when the delayed arrive it is usually packed like sardine. This make the passengers that had not board the train to accumulate until the platform is full of people.

Although all these problems I still like to take commuter train since it provide a fast and cheap route into KL city center.

InTra dinner

Not long ago my university organised an industrial training dinner for both of their students and also their supervisor of the students. I sure will not let go of this chance to eat free and the dinner is held at Dewan Felda inside a remote area of KL. I also do nor know where is that place without the help of Google Earth and that place is actually a malay majority village in the middle of KL. With the help of the Google Earth also I had a hard time finding the right place. The hall is very grand and classy but the food and service there hmmm............... What to do, already got chance to eat free but still want to complain. This is the first time I attend malay style of dinner and their dinner style is quite same with chinese. Chinese like theri dishes to come out one by one to the table while malay style is they serve all the dishes on the table before the dinner and they only serve rice when the dinner start.

I dust off just after I am full (have to eat also because that time I am very hungry). I really love the classy feel of the hall, it feel grand and I really cannot believe this hall is situated away from the main road and it is not easy to find the right way into ir because it is very secluded.

Banjir oh banjir

So long I never update my blog because due to my industrial training and also preparing my final industrial training report to send back to my university, now I already complete my final report and have time to start blogging again.

I met my first flooding during my drive back home after work. The flooding venue is Jln Duta near parliament building. The traffic that day I also have no idea why there were traffic jam start from the Sg besi army air base. The traffic is crawling along the way until the traffic became stagnant near the parliament building. The traffic remain stagnant for a long time makes me feel angry and uneasy and foul language start coming out from mouth scolding here and there (is a norm for unfolding foul language when driving in KL).

During my drive home at that day the sky was drizzling at the Sg Besi army base and the rain become very heavy along the way up to the parliament building. Then the truth unfold in front of me, gush of water flowing out of no where and in a short time no vehicle except heavy vehicle can go over. Moments after that heavy vehicle also cannot get across because of high water level. This flood block the all the traffic on both side. Since the traffic is stagnant I come out from the car and chit chat with other drivers. The flood come fast and also end fast, after some 5 minutes the water level begin to go low. I take this picture during my drive over the flood water and that time the water level is still quite high although the water level is subsiding and not much vehicle can cross over except heavy vehicle and 4WD vehicle. Thank god my vehicle is 4WD and with high ground clearance I can easily cross over and all the picture above I snapped it during the cross.

Finally I am allowed to take some picture with the dummies after a long time of training in a seat belt manufacturing company. The dummy you see in the first picture is a full human size dummy which weight 75 Kg but trust me that dummy need a full 3 men strength to move it and it does not seems like weighting 75 Kg. The price of tat dummy is shocking, by buying that dummy you actually can purchase a bungalow and still left with a lot of money. Calibration of that dummy cannot be done here and must send to oversea to do calibration and each calibration will cost over RM10K!! That dummy can simulate the actual body performance during a car crash and before the invention of dummy dead human body is actually used when car crash test is conducted, gruesome.

The dummy on the 2nd picture you see is a more simpler dummy without any sensors inside their body and still the price of the dummy you can purchase half of a bungalow. Car crash test is really indeed a money burning business.

Jalan Pasar is also known as the electric and electronic street in KL. Anything from electrical appliances to electronic parts can be get here. If you cannot find electrical or electronic parts in this street that mean there is a big possibility the parts does not exists at all. Besides the above mention items in this street you can also buy concert electrical items such as big amp, concert grade mixer and concert grade big speaker. Besides that the price for all the items sell here is quite affordable due to there are many competitors located along this street. This street is also famous for another thing and that is fish. From gold fish to salt water fish you can get it all in this street. This street will only transform to fish street during Sunday but other day there is also will have vendor selling fish but the selection of fishes is not as many compare to Sunday.

There is also a illegal selling of fake medicine such as fake viagra or other medicine that claimed can provide long lasting sex drive for men. For your information please do not attempted or think of buying any of these medicine because all these medicine is fake and can bring harm to the body if consumed. Other than fake medicine the street also got a few road side stall that sell stolen object such as car audio set, cell phone and other thing, one piece of advice buy at your own risk.

As you can see there are 2 shop that I highly recommended if you guy want to buy thing because the shop provide a wide selection of electrical and electronic parts inside the shop. For me I love to buy thing from Darson this shop as can be seen on the picture above. Although there are a shabbier side of this street it is worth while to go venture during weekend because there is a lot of thing to see and experience :-)

Not long ago I and my girl friend went to 记得吃 to have some dessert after we finish our dinner and do not know why my girl friend will always order the red bean dessert and I will only order just mango sai mai lou. I am always craving for the mango sai mai lou because of the juiciness and the freshness of the mango. I do not know why 记得吃 always manage to get hold of all those fresh and juicy mango to serve to the customers. But I also do not know why my girlfriend cannot eat thing that are too cold. I seldom order all those side dishes because partly of the high prices and also because of all the food there seems like very normal and we can have it anywhere. Wow, so long never post any new post on my blog. Sorry peeps for the delay, this is caused by my industrial training. The training occupied most of my free time and I will only be free during weekend. Although the industrial training is quite tiring some time but I really learn a lot of new knowledge from there.

All right quit crapping about my industrial training and let me introduce the amazing tree in the picture above. That tree is located in a very remote area between Gerik and Kuala Kangsar. For those who do not know, that place is actually a rural area surrounded by dense forest with many small and big villages situated here and there. A famous incident happen there is some year back some soldier hijacked some M16 weapon and went hiding in the forest before surrendered to the police.

That tree is very famous among punters a.k.a kaki nombor ekor around Perak to go and pray to that tree. After praying you can try your luck by rubbing the tree trunk and if you really lucky you can see 4 numbers appear on the tree trunk for a split second before vanish. That 4 numbers is actually the winning number for those lucky people to strike 4D. I visited there during last CNY and there is hell lot of people there trying their luck, I am very surprised to see different emotion the people display when they are rubbing against the tree trunk. For me I do not trust this kind of thing and I only trust myself, one will never get rich without first endure some hardship.

Interesting natural phenomena around Perlis

That picture above is long in my memory stick and this picture I take when I am walking to attend lecture at the lecture hall under the roof that you see on that picture. On that I do not know why I keep looking at the sky and it seems like I know what to look for up in the sky until that beautiful cloud caught my attention and I quickly snap that cloud using my cell phone and the picture is incredible. I love this picture very much because I cannot find any cloud like that on the picture in KL and also since Perlis is not a developed state it have less high rise building and also few pollution and hence the sky is clearer and during the night you can see the star above clearly, now in KL I can hardly or in other word it is impossible to spot a star in KL.

In the picture above happen last year and it have a name but I only know the name in chinese and I do not know what is phenomena called in english. I can still remember during that day I am having my lab session and suddenly everybody pointed their camera phone towards the sky and I hurried go out to find out why and to my amazement the sun suddenly have a ring around it. Without wasting much time camera phone up and snap snap snap all this moment become an eternity in my memory stick. I just love the high resolution camera phone that make snapping picture quick and easy. With my K750i this good buddy I take make anything to my liking become an eternity with just a snap. This phone really serve me well and sadly higher resolution camera phone already come out and so maybe I will change my phone but my K750i is still my best buddy!!!!!!

This is where now I am undergoing my industrial training now and believe me this is the only picture I am allowed to take and the picture beyond this door I need clearance from the people above before I can snap any picture from the inside. I am now currently based in the test lab department of this company. This company mainly manufactured air bag, seat belt and steering wheel for various car manufacturer and also have a test lab to test various parts of seat belt or air bag. My supervisor is a pretty girl and is a chinese and so I can communicate with her in chinese and mainly the staff there is indian in the production line. The higher up people are mainly chinese and chinese is the language they frequently use with communicate among chinese staff. I also feel a bit strange because the frequency of cantonese usage in my company is far more lower than the frequency usage if mandarin. For added information this company is not a local company but a sweedish company

Guess what, I receive another christmas present from my cousin brother today!! This time the present is external dual layer slim dvd burner and some more this item is not produce by some unknown manufacturer and in fact this item is a branded external dvd burner called AOpen. I have yet to test its capability due to some technical error (not the burner give me problem but the power cord!!!!!). The strange thing is I suspect this manufacturer do not provide any power cord for this product and I am very surprise when I search every inch inside the box and still I could not find the power cord. I already send the inquiry email back to the manufacturer and hope they can clarified my doubt and if they really do not provide the power cord I will go down to Jalan Pasar someday to buy the suitable power cord to power up the dvd burner. Thnak god I do not go to buy external dvd writer during the PC fair :-)

After posting many of the picture make me refresh all the memories during my various stage of schooling, some friend are lost and some new friends are make. Still got some friends that are with me from primary till secondary school. When entering university most of my friend are disperse around the country, but in the end we are still friends or say it in Russian we are still "Comrades" fighting for our own future and also fighting against time so that our friendship will not diminished over the time!!!!

The older the ginger the spicier it gets, this is a chinese proverb that is very suitable in this case. The above picture teaches us the correct way to knot a tie and if anyone who is still do not know how to manage a tie knot this is the time to learn. My mother has kept this news paper cutting since I was in secondary school and she say one day this news paper cutting will be useful to me and she was right. I will begin my industrial training soon and this news paper cutting indeed useful to me. To who who is still do not know how to mange a tie knot please learn it now!!

My christmas present

I am so happy because receive my Christmas present from my cousin brother. He gave me this pair of Nike air force 1 on my request. There are many shoe to choose from but in the end this pair of shoe ended up as my selection. This shoe is still brand new because I have not wear it and I prepare to save the best for the coming chinese new year so that I would not waste so much money buying up new thing before chinese new year start

Trash or treasure??

All the above picture is the thing I find during a spring cleaning in one of my relative house. Many people scold me for bringing all this trash back to my house, but in my eye all these thing is treasure. Now in these days those thing can hardly found in the market and to seen one is also very difficult. The sony walkman is the 3rd generation of walkman manufactured in Japan and the walkman is in perfect woking condition, you just pop in the battery the walkman work just fine. The Motorola brick phone is also in working condition but we cannot use this kind of phone now because first the battery is NiCad battery means that one must discharge or deplete all the battery power before the battery can be recharge again. Second the charger for NiCad battery is already extinct in the market and third the sim card size is bigger than the sim card size in todays cell phone.

Both of the products above marked the advance of technology because without all those thing above exist first we will never have newer and smaller size of walkman or cell phone.

Movie

As you all can see the above picture is the the movie I had just watched recently. I love war movie especially war during the ancient time. Maybe I am a chinese I love the chinese style of war by fighting the war with mediocre warfare such as hand to hand and fist to fist using ancient weapon such as spear, bow and sword. I do not like watching war movie that is modern warfare using state of the art weapon such as gun and missile. If anyone that want to watch this movie must go to the cinema to watch this movie. Cinema has the best surround sound system that can make you feel you are in the middle of the war and the cinema I recommend you to go to watch this movie is Cathay cinema located at Cinneleisure, The Curve. The screen at Cathay cinema is bigger than TGV and GSC and also the surround sound system is far more better than GSC and TGV. The downside is the ticket price at Cathay cinema is far more higher than other 2 cinema and Cathay do not provide student discount price for student.

That is a really big piece of shark fin and for chinese out there this mean that this kind of shark fin can never be tasted for the poor. This big piece of shark fin is usually priceless and mainly people will exhibit for the pride in their shop. I admit I am a big fan of shark fin soup but after seeing that big piece of shark fin makes me think about this, how long do a shark need to grown until to have the kind if big size shark fin? Try to think in other way, do you like your body part to be slaughtered and then get eaten or just exhibit somewhere?

The answer is of course no and from now on I will try to reduce the eating the part of this poor creature. If the eating of shark fin is to continue soon our next generation can only admire the beauty of this giant sea creature through picture

Delicacy from Bangkok

Yummy egg tart from Bangkok

The picture you see above is one of the delicacy from Thailand, Bangkok. The egg tart look like a normal Portuguese egg tart and yes it is, the egg tart above is really Portuguese egg tart but with big difference in term of taste and texture.

Can you believe that after hour of transporting from Bangkok to Malaysia the egg tart is still warm in the inside and after reheating in the microwave machine the taste and texture of the egg tart will be the same as the egg tart is just come out from the oven. The quality of this egg tart is very high when compare to the Portuguese egg tart sold in Malaysia and you can never taste the smoothness and the sweetness of the Bangkok egg tart in Malaysia Portuguese egg tart!! The sad thing I can only have a bite of the Bangkok Portuguese egg tart when my relative is touring there and so I seldom can taste it. I love food from Thailand because it has many varieties and also the food there is very tasty!!

Things I like to do

I like to swim when I free and I often swim at my cousin club house. You can see from the picture above. I love to swim there because it is not crowded and also the club provide many facilities to use. The gym room is just beside the pool and once I finish my exercise in the gym room I will straight away dip myself in the cooling water of swimming pool.

I also like to eat and that pot of soup is actually shabu shabu. Shabu shabu means steambot in japanese and that shop is just located at 1 Utama new wing near the rain forest. The price is quite high and so I do not recommend you all to makan there if you all do not have deep pocket.

I like to act stupid also. Just like the picture you see above .

My friends

One day when I rummage through my personal photo album I manage to find all those sweet memories lies in my photo album. I get to see my first experience going oversea to Bangkok, Thailand with all those tasty and unique delicacies of Thailand and also the warm hospitality showed by all those Thai people. Coming up right next to the Bangkok picture is the picture of my good old form 6 days and coming right up is the picture above our own form 6 prom night, the night of showing off your mature look and also the night for the ladies to show off their pretty figure. All people attend must be in formal wear and sure some ladies night gown is splendid to watch.

Just miss those good old days with prom night held but now I can hardly attend this kind of formal function because my university do not have course night or prom night like we did during form 6.

Makan at Melaka

ABC

猪肉粉

These few days lazy to update blog so I decided to update some makan thing from my trip to Melaka today. Our lunch is eaten at a shop located in Jonker Street and the shop is famous for its ABC. The ABC there looks like the one we can eat from 记得吃 but the price is far more cheaper from 记得吃 and also the ABC is very special. I say the ABC only looks like ABC from 记得吃 but the taste is very very different. The ABC use gula Melaka as their sweetener and thus the taste is not just sweet but got some taste of garlic inside that sweetener. The shop is also famous for its laksa and other noodle but that day when I get there all the laksa already sold out so the lady there recommend me to eat pork meat noodle 猪肉粉. To be honest the noodle there is very very delicious plus the ambiance there is very very great!! The shop is inside an antique shop and besides that the shop inside also play all those Chinese oldies songs make us feel that we already back to the old Melaka.

During the night we plan to have seafood dinner at Portuguese settlement but after much argument we decided to find a spot to taste the famous satay celup but we do not know which stall have the best satay celup so we just follow a road sign that point us to a satay celup shop. At first we feel that the satay celup is not tasty because there is no patron there but since the time is quite late so we decide to eat there anyway. After some time passes patron start to flood the shop and in no time the shop is full house and by the way the shop had been visited by 阿鸿 from 阿鸿上菜. There are many selection of satay just like our chinese lok lok to be dip inside the satay curry and the 5 of us manage to finish 110 sticks or satay, damm full that day. On the way back we decided to go visit the night safari of Melaka Zoo but turn out that night safari only will open for public during weekend and also public holiday.

Me and my friend at Dataran Pahlawan

During the last few days me and my friend embark on an day trip to Melaka. Although Melaka seems like a very dull and boring place, but for your information although I been to Melaka a few times before but I never been to the places like fort A Famosa, St. paul hill etc. I only seen this places and knew this places on books but I never stepped foot on all this places before. Amazingly not only just me, few of my friend also have the same experience like me.

We first step foot on Dataran Pahlawan, nothing special there just a big field and a big open air stage just like Lake Garden located at KL. We stop there to take a leak and after that we go further into the heart of Melaka. The second stop is the famous red building and fort A Famosa. Nothing new there but near the red building lies a new excavation site , new remains of the wall of A Famosa had been discovered.

We went on up to the St. Paul hill take some picture then loiter around there for sometime before coming down. We also went into a new building being build on the famous field that Tunku first announced the independence of Malaya. Just my 2 cent I few that there should not be any building just to preserved the originality of that place because that place play a big role in the road of independence.

Coca-cola bottle from Thai

I bought this bottle of Coca-Cola from Thailand for only RM 1.00 and that is 10 Baht. You still can find a lot of carbonated drinks in Thailand still being filled in glass bottle rather than plastic bootle. I do not know why Thailand have many glass bottle packaging than Malaysia and although from common sense we know that the cost to produce a glass bottle is far more higher than the cost to produce a plastic bottle. The benefits in glass packaging is it is recyclable and also because glass can withstand higher pressure than plastic bottle, all those carbonated drinks can be pressurized to a higher pressure than plastic bottle making the carbonated drinks inside it more tasty.

Fanta Japan in aluminum can

In Malaysia all the 1.5 Litre Coca-Cola bottle is plastic bottle but in Bangkok the glass bottle for 1.5 Litre also exist besides the plastic bottle for the 1.5 Litre Coca-Cola. Besides Coca-Cola I also like to drink Fanta, I think this brand exist during the 80s' but suddenly this brand vanish from Malaysia market but this brand still selling in Japan and Thailand. Someone told me that Fanta will only exist in the 3rd world country because of its high level of colouring use and also the super high sweetness. If this is truth why this kind of drink still selling in develop country in Japan?

Harry Potter

complete set of Harry potter

I started reading Harry Potter series during my form 3 year. I was introduced to this book by my friend and I still remember that when I started to read the first book of Harry Potter my friend is already in the brink of finishing the fourth book "The Goblet of Fire". Just after I started to embark on the Harry Potter journey the mass media started promoting the Harry Potter series and from that time on this Harry Potter is make famous by the mass media.

I only have 2 hard back Harry Potter due to the high price of the hard back and so I usually will purchase paper back version. The latest Harry Potter book I bought cost me only RM 69.90, I do not bought from all those hyper market like Tesco but I bought it from a small book shop located at Kajang. I feel lucky to be able to grab that book with the cheap price after they all sold out at all those hyper market. I nearly bought the book from Borders with the price of RM 89.90 and I am pity those who had pre-ordered "The Deathly Hallows".

Many people I met like to watch Harry Potter movie than reading its novel, but for me the movie is not interesting as the novel and I do not like to watch Harry Potter movie.

Sumur city aerospace adventure

I do not know if anyone of you out there still remember the first Russian aerospace exhibition that exhibit all their space stuff such as the former MIR space station and other Russian space stuff. This is a great exhibition because we can see and touch all the Russian space gear in close range and feel it with our touch. I been to this exhibition during my standard 4 year that is around 1995, at that time I am a huge fan of space exploration before turning my interest into automobile during my secondary school.

I still remember I am the last person register with my school to go to this field trip and all I know the former location of this space exhibition is called Summur City but I do not know what it call these days. I am so glad that I bought some of the souvenir during my visit there but sadly I do not capture any of those exhibition items because my parents do not allow me to bring my camera there. Besides the badge the ticket into the exhibition is also unique, it is combination of ticket and also brochure together in one. Those are the good old days, I think I can get more treasure when I continue my spring cleaning of my room.

Holiday mood

Starting yesterday I just finish my final exam at my university, UniMAP located at Perlis and now I am having my holiday mood for the second day. I will be undergo my industrial training starting 2 jan 2008 at a factory located at Sri Kembangan, I am so scared that I will screwed up during my internship there, but what to do every engineering student must go through this learning process if he/she wanted to gradute as an qualified engineer..............
